L'apport de mon projet était basé surtout sur le récit actif de la performance que j'ai réalisée en 2006 avec Steven Cohen, mais grâce aux dispositifs numériques mis en place devant le spectateur, cette présentation est devenue un récit en mouvement, réactivé devant les spectateurs. J'ai aussi découvert que l'espace urbain de Dakar permet de faire beaucoup de choses, d'intervenir en tant qu'artiste performeur. Cela m'a donné beaucoup de liberté de me trouver dans un autre pays d'Afrique francophone que le mien.

The Dwayer International Workshop for Women took place in Alexandria from the 25th of January to 7th February. The workshop was held in the gallery spce of the Atelier Alexandria and began with two days of presentations by the 26 participating visual artists. The presentations were followed by a week and a half of working on our creative projects, collaborating with other participants and exploring some of the cultural sites in Alexandria and Cairo. The workshop ended with a public exhibition of the works produced in the workshop.
Dwayer International Workshop was the first of its kind in Alexandria, Egypt. It brought women from different nationalities working on various aspects of visual art together for interactive platforms, where great ideas were shared and discussed.
