Lailah Masiga, dancer and choreographer

Excerpt of the report:

Being among other dance creators exposed me to different choreographic approaches and creation processes: for instance a reaffirmation of the environment, nature and everyday living could strongly influence dance. I experienced new practical ways to facilitate master classes as well as "modules" on how to train dancers, involve them in a creative and/or performance process and finally how to self-produce work. This meeting made me informed of situations, challenges and successes of my counterparts in their respective countries, made me aware of the available support systems across the region and brought me to a conclusion that we are the same but different in regards to capabilities, talents, approaches, opportunities, support and perceptions in our practice.
