Lanoi Maloiy, cultural researcher and AMA grantee, travelled from Nairobi (Kenya) to Johannesburg (South Africa) from December 10 to 15 to conduct research on museum management in five museums and cultural centres.


AMA grantee Joanita Kente Tushabe traveled last week from Kampala (Uganda) to Nairobi (Kenya) to launch a new collection of poetry titled Waragi by Jedidiah Mugarura on November 17.


AMA is pleased to announce the grantees of Session 27 (March 2015) of its mobility grants programme.

Of the eighty grant applicants, twenty were awarded grants:

Ms. Ada Jeanne Umugwaneza (dancer, Rwanda): Ms. Umugwaneza will be travelling from Kigali to Toubab Dialaw, Senegal, to participate in “Du geste à la danse,” the first module in the 3-part professional development workshop in traditional and contemporary African dance organized by the École des sables between April 6 and June 13, 2015.
