Thiaba Mactar Lo has finished her internship at AMA.
Thiaba was born in Dakar in 1976. She has a broad range of experiences working in the communication and administration departments of cultural organizations in different African countries such as Senegal, Burkina Faso and Tunisia.
From 2002 to 2009, she worked as management assistant at Fest’art (Festival international de Théâtre pour la Paix), where she mastered the ability to manage projects in a multitasking environment.
She also worked at different editions of the Kaay Fecc Festival (international dance festival): as member of the administrative department for the 2003 and 2005 editions, and as a member of the communication department for the 2008 and 2009 editions.
From 2009 to 2011 she worked as management and communication assistant at the international centre for contemporary dance École des Sables in Toubab Dialaw, Senegal.
During her internship at the AMA office, Thiaba worked on the grants program. She helped the Secretariat in preparing the May session of applications to facilitate the evaluation work of our selection committee. She also learnt about all aspects of grants administration, from selection to contracting and to reporting. The internship was also an opportunity for Thiaba to follow up on the evaluation of the grants program previously implemented by interns. Lastly, Thiaba filled some communication tasks related to the Mobility Hub Africa and the update of the AMA mailing list.
Thank you Thiaba!
AMA wishes her all the best!
