Gilbert Agbevide travelled from Lomé (Togo) to Bamako (Mali) on Thursday in order to begin a residency titled “Arts-femmes”, organized by Côté Court association. He will be in Bamako until December 8th.
An experienced cultural administrator, Gilbert is the Executive Director and promoter of FESTI-FORMATION ZÉDÉKA – Rencontres internationales des arts des Communautés et des Arts de Rue and Coordinator of several projects within association KAdam-KAdam in Lomé. With KAdam-KAdam, he is currently preparing a tour of West Africa that will take place in 6 countries in 2019: Benin, Burkina Faso, Togo, Mali, Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana. The tour aims to fill the gap in production and promotion of high-quality theatrical plays by qualified African women technicians.
Arts-Femmes is a project initiated by Association Côté-Court to reflect on the different initiatives underway within the African artistic community. Their aim is more specifically to contribute to the emergence of a professional production milieu for women in Africa.
We wish Gilbert a fruitful residency in Bamako!
