AMA grantee Davy Lessouga is currently in Rabat (Morocco) as a participant in the Visa for Music Foundation’s Africa-Middle East Music Meeting (21-24 November 2018).
Based in Douala, Cameroon, Davy Lessouga is an artistic talent manager and digital music specialist. He represents, among numerous other artists, Cameroonian singer Franko (famous for the hit single “Coller la petite”). He has worked as a consultant for Hope Music Publishing, Sony Music, Afrik Digital LTF, and Menta Digital Ltd. He is frequently called upon to host workshops on digital music marketing and the impact of the digital revolution on the music industry in Africa. He is currently preparing a book manuscript on the digital revolution in Francophone African music.
Visa For Music (VFM) is the first professional market/festival of African and Middle-Eastern music : born in 2013 and organizing its 5th edition in 2018, it includes roughly 30 showcases, as well as conferences, speed-meetings, workshops and trainings. For Davy Lessouga, VFM is an optimal setting for meeting other digital music experts and feeling the pulse of the digital revolution in the Maghreb’s music industry as well as in other regions of Africa.
We wish Davy a very fruitful stay in Rabat and a safe return to Douala!
