AMA grantee Ann Singer traveled from Windhoek (Namibia) to Nairobi (Kenya) last week to attend ACCESS 2018 – Music in Africa Conference (15-17 November).
Ann Singer is a multiple award-winning singer-songwriter hailing from Windhoek, Namibia. In 2016 alone, she received 4 Namibia Annual Music Awards (NAMA) for Best Newcomer, Best Afro Pop, Best R’n’B and Album of the year 2016. Last year, she was signed to South Africa’s Mabala Noise Entertainment label. One of the highlights of her career was this past year, where she had the opportunity to perform at the 33rd World Conference of International Society for Music Education (ISME) which took place in Baku, Azerbaijan. She is currently busy working hard for her next album to be released later this year.
ACCES is the leading pan-African platform for music industry players to exchange ideas, discover new talent and create business linkages. ACCES is held in a different African city every year, attracting active music industry players from across the globe. Ann Singer was thrilled to represent Namibia at the conference and to connect with other creatives and professionals.
We wish Ann much success for her future projects!
